I think it will nice if you up the stast and damage of 2 handed weapons.
It's not normal an armed axe got the same stats of 2 handed axe, no? If you play 2 axes you can got +6 str, and got 7 attaques per round 1d10 basic damage. And 2 handed axe 1d12 damage and got only +3 str and just 5 attaques per round.
Then, i think 2 handed weapons need to give +6 str, and do little more damage maybe?

This is something we already had in mind, and we agree mostly, but we will need to plan on exactly what needs to be added. It's being discussed though! Thank you for the post about it!

Just an idea on how to approach this:
1) While wielding a two-handed weapon (i.e. a weapon larger than your size that isn't a double-weapon), you gain a damage bonus equal to the weapon's base damage. E.g: * a human wielding a greatsword gains +2d6 damage * a human wielding a longsword gain nothing * a halfling wielding a longsword gains +1d8 Bonus could be added to the weapon on equip.
2) Bonus from (improved) power attack mode is doubled (+10/+20 damage instead of +5/+10) while wielding a two-handed weapon in two hands. Ideally Beamdog would open up combat mode scripting, but until then it could be implemented via a bonus controlled with OnHeartBeat and GetLastAttackMode.
